When Britain’s biggest family welcomed baby number 20, the parents promised that Archie would be their last child.
But they announced yet another pregnancy on May 29, 2018. This will be their 21st child.
The parents are called Sue and Noel Radford. They were both given up for adoption at birth.
She fell pregnant at just 14 in 1989 and was determined to keep the baby. They got married four years later and she was soon expecting their second child Sophie.
Just over a year later they learned they were expecting Chloe – and babies have followed in quick succession ever since.
Noel, 47, said they expected to have three children maybe but enjoyed having the kids around so just carried on. He admits they are now addicted and just love it.
Sue, 43, gave birth to Archie in September 2017 after an hour’s labour. This time Sue was induced two weeks early at hospital.
The other children chose “Archie” after Sue and Noel ran out of ideas for names.
Archie joins Chris, 28, Sophie, 23, Chloe, 22, Jack, 20, Daniel, 18, Luke and Millie 16, Katie, 14, James, 13, Ellie, 12, Aimee, 11, Josh, 10, Max, 8, Tillie, 7, Oscar, 5, Casper, 4, Hallie, 2, and Phoebe, 13 months. Sue lost a boy when 23 weeks’ pregnant in 2014.
The couple are also grandparents to Sophie’s three children.
Sue’s typical day starts at 6.30 am and she doesn’t get to bed until 11 pm.
Each day the family consumes about ten litres of milk, three litres of juice and eat three boxes of cereal at breakfast.
Going on holiday or even trips to the supermarket can be expensive – they spend around £1,000 per month on food.
They have outgrown their 15-seater minivan.
Surprisingly enough, the family do not claim benefits and keep finances afloat through a successful family-owned bakery.
They live in a 10-bed home in Lancashire, England, which they bought in 2004.
They starred in Channel 4’s “15 Kids and Counting” four years ago as well as in other anual updates. The 2018 “20 Kids and Counting” covered their 25th wedding anniversary.
Happy English learning!!
